Common Questions

  • My work integrates relational psychodynamic, somatic, and transpersonal modalities. You can read more about my Approach here.

  • Typically, I meet with people once per week. Some people find that meeting more often (twice per week) can feel supportive and accelerate the change process during challenging times. This is highly individualized and we can discuss a cadence that feels right for you during our initial meetings.

  • Individual sessions are 50 minutes long.

Couples sessions are 75 minutes long.

  • My rate is $200 per individual session and $250 per couples session.

I don’t accept insurance but I can provide a monthly bill to submit to your provider. Many insurance providers will provide some reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. Check with your provider directly to see if this may be available.

I hold some reduced fee spaces in my practice for those who need it. Please reach out to ask about this sliding scale if the fee is a challenge for you.

  • This is highly individual. I see many clients in long-term weekly therapy over multiple years which can lead to deep and lasting changes. Other clients come looking for support regarding a specific issue and find several months of therapy helpful.

  • Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy involves a combination of psychotherapy and medicine sessions. This is often a part of an ongoing treatment but can also be its own treatment. The flow is typically as follows:

Initial Consultation: We will initially meet for several sessions to determine if KAP and my practice are a good fit. We’ll explore your history, desires, hopes, support systems and more before agreeing to move forward. If we both agree that KAP is a fit, you will be referred to a medical provider who will determine if a ketamine prescription is appropriate for you.

Preparation Sessions: Once you have been evaluated by a prescriber, we will schedule 2-4 preparation sessions together. These sessions will feel like regular therapy sessions with a focus on aligning on the intention for the KAP sessions together.

Medicine Sessions: The medicine sessions with KAP will typically be 3 hours. This session may include vivid emotions and physical sensations. I will support and guide you throughout the effects of these sessions. Clients typically complete a series of medicine sessions over weeks/months.

Integration: The 2-4 follow-up integration sessions will serve to crystalize the impacts, teachings, and learnings from the medicine session. This is where the lasting effects can really take root.
